Vivian is a Clinical Intern who works with clients toward deeper self-exploration, compassion, and openness. She believes a fruitful life is built on strong relationships—with oneself, others, and the world around us—and hopes to work alongside her clients to nurture those connections.

Vivian brings a warm curiosity to each session and genuinely feels there is beauty in the intricacies of every individual. Her therapeutic style is psychodynamically- and trauma-informed, highly relational, and sex-positive. She welcomes clients navigating trauma, bolstered by a humanistic-existential belief that therapy can be a lifelong tool for learning and discovery.

Vivian enjoys working with both individuals and couples. She is particularly passionate about collaborating with clients who feel disconnected from or at odds with their bodies, desires, or sexuality, and she firmly understands eroticism as a central aspect of humanity. She loves helping clients untangle the complicated social mores that guide our understanding of sex, relationships, and pleasure.

Vivian earned Bachelor's degrees in English and Journalism from the University of Missouri, and is currently completing her Master's in Social Work with a certificate in Trauma Treatment at the University of Tennessee College of Social Work. Before turning to psychotherapy, Vivian worked in book publishing and magazine journalism, experiences that underscore her belief in the power of narrative to shape lives.

Vivian was born and raised in West Nashville and enjoys spending her time discovering new sides of the city while also driving down familiar roads. You can usually find her reading, cooking in her tiny apartment, exercising, or watching Netflix with her partner.
