Sarah is completing her Master of Science in Social Work and Trauma Treatment Graduate Certificate at the University of Tennessee Knoxville. Sarah has a background in public health and more than a decade of experience as a registered dietitian, primarily supporting clients with chronic illnesses or autoimmune conditions. Her decision to pursue a career in therapy was directly influenced by a personal experience with traumatic brain injury, which shaped her perspectives on how trauma, grief, and resilience influence a person’s life.
Sarah’s therapeutic approach is guided by a trauma-informed and strengths-based lens. She aims to create an inclusive, affirming, and collaborative therapeutic space, so you can expect Sarah to bring curiosity, authenticity, and warmth to each session. Additionally, Sarah is trained in Somatic & Attachment Focused EMDR (S.A.F.E EMDR).
Outside of sessions and graduate courses, Sarah refills her cup by spending time with her partner and taking long walks in her neighborhood (usually stopping to pet every dog she passes). She also enjoys reading, cooking, and spending time in the woods.
